How is the market in South Lake Tahoe?  So far our median price is only down 9% in 2007.  Not bad compared to other areas.  Our foreclosures appear to be dropping off too. We peaked at 91 in Aug and dropped to 80 in Sept.  Inventory is down and escrows were up in Oct.  Tahoe is still a good buy.  Heavenly Ski Resort had done more improvements this summer and at Stateline the Chateau has broken ground on thier new project.  In 2009 we will have a new village across from the Gondola with shopping, convention center and whole ownership timeshare units.  This project will spark our real estate market.  Check out their site at: ChateauHeavenlyVillage.com
